Duties


The ICT Applications Development and Support team ensures the development and continued support of Comcare’s key business systems, developed using Java, .Net, Oracle and HTML, with a number of integrated COTS products to deliver business functionality.
As the .Net Developer you will contribute to the development of .Net applications including online web form applications that are to be used for capturing and managing client data by our business units. This includes the provision of advice, understanding business requirements, documenting solutions and undertaking development activities.
In this role you will be responsible for providing responsive, reliable and respectful customer support and advice covering all elements of the software development lifecycle whilst maintaining and promoting a strong client focused technology service culture to support Comcare’s business operations.

Eligibility


Computer Science degree, industry qualifications and/or experience in relevant disciplines.

Duties


The Department of Employment is responsible for national policies and programs that help Australians find and keep employment and work in safe, fair and productive workplaces.
As Group Manager Employment Systems and Chief Information Officer, (SES Band 2) you will be responsible for building and operating an ICT environment to enable the Department to achieve its strategic and operational goals. You will contribute to the development and implementation of the Government’s Digital Transformation Agenda and enable the adoption of Digital by Default for employment services systems. This will include the need to liaise with external employment service providers, engaging effectively with policy development teams and will involve prototyping potential digital solutions. You will prioritise IT investment to maximise benefits to the Government and stakeholders and ensure IT support and operation services including infrastructure and applications provisions; desktop and applications support and maintenance; and centralised IT contract management that deliver to service standards and value for money. You will take a lead in the development and implementation of the system to support new Budget initiatives including the Targeted Job Seeker Compliance Framework, develop more mobile and online capabilities for job seekers and employers, further develop an agile approach to software and build staff capabilities around user-centred design.
To be a strong contender for this critical role you will be a highly motivated leader with exceptional management and leadership skills and high order change management skills. You will possess excellent stakeholder management capability and be an innovative thinker who is able to build collaborative relationships with all members of the Executive, the Minister, and other key stakeholders.
