Superb strike of the 2-line "Delayed en Route Aircraft Hi-jack" h/s. A British Airways VC10 Flight 870 to Singapore was hijacked at Dubai with 27 passengers, 8 airport workers who were cleaning the plane when it was hijacked & 10 crew. British Airways Captain Jim Futcher was awarded Queen's Gallantry medal for his "calm & courageous conduct" during the hijack. The hijack ended at Tunis with a German passenger murdered. A similar cover from this hijack realised $1150+ in Melbourne in 2011. A rare interrupted aviation cover. (P) $500 $1000
