Discussion and conclusion:
There was some discussion on the definitions in this proposal and it was suggested that the definitions should be independent of the network slicing issue. It was decided to use a step-by-step approach to definitions. Service Instance needed further clarification and is used recursively with the Network Slice definition. The Network Slice definition also needed clarification on whether instances are isolated or separated. HP commented that there should be separation of user plane and control plane and asked what this applies to. Ericsson replied that this is both and SA WG1 use 'isolation' in their terminology. Alcatel-Lucent asked for clarification of the relevance of the Network Slice Blueprint for an architectural definition. Ericsson explained that the blueprint will be used by network operators to build the network from the logical architecture elements and Blueprints themselves will not be specified in 3GPP. It was agreed to separate the definitions and key issues parts of this proposal. The Key issues should be considered with TD S2 160161. This was left for further off-line discussion and the definitions revised, merging TD S2 160306, in TD S2 160705.
