Abstract: Summary of change: ePDG selection takes into account a new indication in NAS from the VPLMN mandating an attempt of selecting this PLMN's ePDG independently of this PLMN's ePDG selection information provisioned by HPLMN. In all other cases, including a failure to establish connection in the first case, all PLMNs in the same country are tried, if provisioned by HPLMN. If no success, an attempt to select an ePDG at the country level (in a network designated by country's regulator) using a new ePDG FQDN format based on the Country Code. If no success, in a final step HPLMN ePDG selection is tried, unless the indication described above was received. The new procedure doesn't rely on the 'mandatory/preferred' settings by HPLMN, so this parameter is removed. Also removed is the support of 'any PLMN' provisioning as not useful.
