Through programmatic support, the NEPAD secretariat was able to convene 1 Inter-Governmental Assembly meeting, facilitate the engagement with 3 African countries on the accession to the Kigali Protocol and ensure that the 2 programmes adopted by the Heads of State and Government Implementation Committee are implemented.
On June 5, 2010 – BAHARICOM Development Company, co-builder of the Africa Coast to Europe (ACE)/Uhurunet submarine cable system, signed a Construction and Management Agreement with France Telecom and 17 other signatories for the development of the ACE/Uhurunet cable system.
