SADC endorsement was attained for South Africa’s candidature for ITU Council.
A Framework/strategy for the ITU PP 2010 election was developed and SA submitted to the ITU its candidature for the ITU Council.
With regards to the ITU Plenipotentiary, the Department developed election plans with the Candidature committee of DIRCO to prioritise South Africa’s voting intentions. SA was elected to the ITU Council, with Minister leading the campaign at the PP-10.
