The main concern of this design studio is to discuss the problematic of architectural design such as repetition, multiplication, and variation and methods of a systematic approach to these problematic. The theme is also defined as problematising of how to constitute norms and standards and how to process them throughout the design. This problem is discussed with its economic and technical, but also its cultural and ontological dimensions by handling subjects such as production techniques, building materials, ways and habits of living, existence and memory.
