  Imperativo:
  

Uso del imperativo para peticiones, consejos, advertencias, ofrecimientos, invitaciones, imprecaciones, dependiendo del contexto (mind the step, make yourself at home, go to hell). Refuerzo y ampliación del imperativo negativo (Let us not say anything...).

Imperativo con sujeto formado por nombre o pronombre (Mary come here; the rest of you stay where you are. Uso enfático del imperativo con do (Do sit down).

Uso de “tag questions” después de imperative como recurso de cortesía: will you?, won’t you?, would you?, can you?, can’t you? y could you? (Sit down, won’t you? Be quiet, can’t you?).
