This is a survey course of the chronological history and theory of design and art in relation to the contemporary political, socio-economic factors, philosophy and religion. It is aimed to bring a critical analysis towards art, design and architecture besides showing the universally accepted values for treatment of creative mind of the designers of artists. The subjects will range from earlier eras to post modern and current trends in a broad geographical area, from east to west and is thought with visual material as well as at the historical heritage areas in situ.
