Design problems in interior architecture involving with high levels of complexity, in which small scale structural changes and additions may be allowed. Project topics may include governmental offices, cultural centers, and T.V studios.
The aim of this course is to give the student a broad insight into the field of furniture design, including the conditions of history, general knowledge, craftsmanship, design, and industrial production of furniture. To make students acquire the knowledge of application of the theoretical information to design, small scale design exercises are planned. As a mean of blending theory and practice together, research and discussion are encouraged throughout the course structure. At the end of the course schedule, a 1/1 scaled production of a designed piece of furniture is expected.
