David Singer has some questions, which will be discussed off-line.
After the resolution of the RAP/SAP issue with David Singer and Ingo Hoffman and resolution of editorial issues in contribution m36495 with David Singer and Mitsuhiro Hirabayashi, it was the consensus of the Audio and Systems groups that the progressed contributions will be issued as a Study on DAM 2.
DASH
The contribution proposes an efficient DASH delivery solution for the case of “channel bed” plus multiple “object-based languages.” What is proposed is FF level signalling to link base DASH files to dialog objects DASH files.
Mitsuhiro Hirabayashi, Sony, observed that it would be best to re-use existing DASH signalling rather than creating a new signalling syntax for FF.
David Singer observed that DASH needs the concept of dependant adaptation sets that is not specific to MPEG-H 3D Audio.
The Systems Chair encourages experts to put this DASH-level syntax in the DASH specification rather than in the 3D Audio specification.
This issue requires additional discussion.
