Real time streaming of files

Realtime streaming of files is supported by MMT. In order to further optimize performance, several requirements related to time granularity, feedback from client to server, synchronization considering geographical location, and the method of delivery be it MMT or external as well as content adaptation in terms of temporal, spatial, quality/fidelity, view perspective or alternative contents were published in N15538 Requirements on MPEG Media Transport (MMT) v.2.

In order to prepare MPEG for the next generation mobile network, a workshop will be planed for the 114^th meeting as described in N15540 Workshop on 5G/BeyondUHD Media.
