Wednesday Video plenary status review
A Video subgroup plenary was held 11:00-13:00 on Wednesday. Reports of BoGs were given as follows:
MPEG-7 Visual:
DoC and DIS under preparation (no change relative to CD)
Preparation of Defect report for part7.
CDVS:
Preparation of workshop, output doc with presentations planned
Part14 CD prepared. Software will be issued with old MPEG header. Selection of images ongoing. Tolerances are defined with regard to finding same keypoints, etc. A certain percentage from the entire set shall pass the tolerance test. Syntax part shall be 100% conformant. Images with zero keypoints should also be included.
IVC:
Visual tests planned for Thu 10-13:30
1080p RA condition, 4 sequences
WVGA LD condition, 4 sequences
No further review of input docs necessary, AHG recommendations are adopted. M36710 Chroma enhancement on intra predicted blocks (non-normative) will be included in ITM13, and in the “collection of information” doc. EE to be continued.

VCB:
Prepare draft DoC for software and conformance
DoC of DIS 14496-31 should be augmented by a note about the investigation.
No change necessary to Draft 2nd DIS from last meeting.

Presentation of M36571
Viewing of sequences: The set “El Fuente” was inspected Tue evening, approximately 5-6 sequences were deemed to be interesting. The set “Chimera” was also investigated (only compressed versions were available). Andrey Norkin and Anne Aaron will prepare a list of the related shots. The set from m36742 was not viewed due to a computer problem. Further review and development of a work plan to investigate sequences was discussed Thursday 14:00.
Workshop planning has started, initial announcement (likely without list spaekers) will be output from the meeting.
RVC:
Presentation of documents
Parser instantiation from BSD: WD of software was delivered with delay shortly before the meeting, the documentation is not complete yet to be promoted to PDAM, nor would it be useful to issue a new WD. Issue a resolution that, unless the documentation of software is completed until the next meeting such that 23002-5 PDAM could be issued, 23001-4/Amd.1 will not be progressed to FDAM.
A problem was reported with 23002-5/DAM2: IPCM and cropping display output are not supported. It is commented by that US NB that the statement of support of main profile is incorrect. IPCM will be implemented as an FU by the next meeting. In 23002-5, a note will express that only the decoder of Main Profile is supported, since Display output is out of the scope. A Draft DoC was issued accepting the comment with the corresponding disposition. A “Preliminary version of FDAM” was issued with the corresponding note. Issuing FDAM was delayed to the next meeting.
