Regarding MPEG-B part 4, the COR on ISO/IEC 23001-4 (N11813) was issued which contains various editorial corrections and clarifications of mathematical operations. In addition, the second version of Working Draft of ISO/IEC 23001-4/Amd.1 (N11814) was approved, which contains a more precise specification of the computation model, RVC-CAL I/O extended support, definition of typing rules for large number arithmetic and (non-normative) definition of FU dataflow classes, classification rules and methods. Additionally, after further discussion about various issues regarding the properties of specification languages for the RVC framework, the document also includes explanations about the role of CAL in determining the deterministic behavior of systems that are invoked by RVC. The status of this discussion is also documented in N11855, which will be further edited under the mandates of the AHG.
Regarding MPEG-C part 4, a study of PDAM2 (tools for AVC High Profile) was issued. Based on the ballot comments, it will be necessary to implement and describe missing elements in frame buffer management and addressing, which can only be provided within the period until the next meeting. Therefore, the DAM will be issued from the March meeting, and the further progressing is delayed accordingly. No work was performed at this meeting on ISO/IEC 23002-4/Amd.3 (defining FUs for SVC Profiles), which stays at WD3 status.
