10.3Summary of discussions
M18704 France, UK and US made comments. All comments are successfully resolved.
M18705 Japan and US made comments. All comments are successfully resolved.
M18755 USNB support PDAM 7 and request solicit more technologies for service compatible modes
M18770 JNB made comments on both frame compatible and service compatible modes. Comments are harmonized with USNB and KNB comments.
M19368 KNB made technical proposal on signaling methods.
M19395 This contribution proposed simplified method to carry MPEG-4 contents over MPEG-2 TS which does not assume complete MPEG-4 system running independent on MPEG-2 System. It proposed to allow MPEG-4 elementary streams as native PES and remove restrictions on usage of MPEG-4 section. Clock recovery mechanism needs additional careful investigation.

11.3Summary of discussions
M18725 UKNB indicates that a new integrated of 14496-4 should be created because we are processing amendment 40! This is acceptable but we need an editor. This is not an easy task because this conformance part covers many parts of MPEG-4 (audio, systems …). More than one editor is needed. It is agreed to consider new edition by separating conformance to several parts. The first proposal is captured in N11721

12.3Summary of discussions
M18726: UKNB proposes to consolidate all the 30 amendments of part 5. This is accepted. We need to find editors. We might want to consider splitting this part into several parts.
Maybe a separate standard for conformance & reference software of:
-
audio conformance (part 26) – ask Audio Group to include RS in that part.
-
video – to be checked with the Video Group about Conf. and RS for Part-2 and Part-10
-
scene representation (part 29). We may need three parts: one for BIFS; one for LASeR and SAF; one for 3D Graphics (maybe part of BIFS RS since it uses similar tools)
-
file format (part 30)
-
font data conformance (part 31)
The first proposal is captured in N11721
M18667: No negative vote. No DoC needed.
M19354: Adds two lines to describe where the PMSI RS is located and an Annex to describe how to use the RS for PMSI.
