I’m in the school orchestra with my friend Sally. Sally
plays the flute, and I play the trumpet. My family
wanted me to learn the flute, but I love playing the
trumpet loudly! Last year, our orchestra went to
Moscow to enter a music competition. It was fun, but
it was hard work, too. Our teacher wanted us to learn
some very difficult music. The competition was on the
last evening of our stay. We played well, but another
orchestra played more beautifully than we did. They
won the competition, and we came in second. After
the competition, we went to a restaurant to have
dinner. Sally had fish and chips, but I chose stew
because I wanted to try it. It was delicious!
