Teacher:
OK, class. Today let’s talk about information
and technology. … Carla. When you’re doing
homework, how do you find out information?
Carla:
I usually use our computer. I look it up on the
Internet. There are lots of interesting websites on the
Internet, with a lot of information.
Alex:
And I sometimes use books – or e-books. I have
books and e-books at home.
Teacher:
Do you use an encyclopedia?
Alex:
Not usually – I use the Internet. But I often use
a dictionary to look up words at school.
Teacher:
Do you read the newspaper?
Carla:
Not really, but I often buy magazines. I like
magazines.
Teacher:
What about you, Pedro? Do you use the Internet?
Pedro:
Yes, but I usually use it to play online games with
my friends. There are lots of great online games.
Teacher:
Do you send emails to your friends?
Pedro:
Yes, or I send them text messages.
Teacher:
Do you ever send letters to your friends?
Alex:
No, I don’t. I sent a letter to my grandma last week.
But now she has a new tablet, and she asked me to
email her instead!
