The result in Table 1 shows that the calculated r-value of 0.53 was found
to be greater than the critical r-value of 0.159 at 0.05 level
of significance, with
198 degrees of freedom.
With this result, the null hypothesis was rejected. This
means that the more students are influenced
positively by their peers, the better
the students’ performance in English language.
