Tangier is a city situated in Morocco, on the North African coast. Tangier’s rich history dates back to the 5th century BC and many civilizations have left their mark here. Characters from more recent times have also made an impression including Henri Matisse, Tennessee Williams, Samuel Beckett and Orson Welles. A rich blend of cultures, exotic souks, colourful riads and lively markets, Tangier remains suspended in time.
TGR01- CITY TOUR

At the crossroads of Europe and Africa, Tangier is the gateway to Morocco. This lively city engages the senses: marvel at the diversity of the people, inhale the exotic fragrances of the markets and listen to the many languages and dialects spoken. Your sightseeing tour will begin in the residential area with a short stop at the magnificent Hercules Caves. Back to town for a short walk around the narrow streets of the Medina to reach the Kasbah Museum for a visit. The trip includes time for shopping and a traditional Moroccan folk show.

TGR02 - TETOUAN
Duration: half day
Tetouan is located among the giant mountains of the Rif and was built in 1307 as a military point to defend the country from Portuguese invaders who had conquered Ceuta. Transfer to this charming town and enjoy a walk through the streets of the Medina and around the vibrant souks. Visit Bab Akla School before free time for shopping. The tour also includes a traditional folk show and a drink.

THESSALONIKI (Greece)
SKG01 – THESSALONIKI HIGHLIGHT
Duration: approx. 4 hours
Join this half-day excursion featuring Thessaloníki's most popular landmarks and highlights. Leave the ship, board a coach and enjoy an introduction to the city, where you will pause briefly for photos of the White Tower. An excellent example of post-Byzantine architecture, this building stands today as a majestic symbol of Thessaloníki. The next 1 hour will be dedicated to the visit of the the Archaeological Museum. One of the most important exhibits is The Gold of Ancient Macedonia, displaying coins excavated from central Macedonia. Also featured are artifacts from the Archaic, Classic and Roman periods. Back on your coach, continue past the International Trade Fair grounds and the Aristotelion University as you head to the citadel. Here, enjoy a superb panoramic view of the city, with Mt. Olympus and the Thermaic Gulf in the background. Your next visit will be to the 5th-century Basilica of St. Demetrius, the largest church in Greece. View an impressive display of mosaics and visit the basilica's crypt, where Demetrius, an officer of the guard, was confined. Before returning to the ship, travel along one of Thessaloníki's main avenues, past the Arch of Galerius and St. George's Rotonda.

SKG02 – VERIA & VERGINA TOMBS

Leave the porto and drive to Veria, the city of Berroia as mentioned in the Bible, that was St. Paul’s next stop and where he preached to the Jews that were more noble. St. Paul is the Patron Saint of the city of Veria. The classical city, bearing the name of one of the mythological King Veris daughters and and founded at the footsteps of mount Vermion, flourished during these years when huge walls were built to protect the city part of which can be seen at the entrance of the city and it was the first to surrender in 168 b.C to the Romans when it developed into the second important city in the area after Thessaloniki. We will visit the traditional Tribune and the Church of Christ, one of the many churches built during the Byzantine era, when Veria was called the small Jerusalem. Next you will go to Vergina, the first ancient capital of the Greek Macedonian Kingdom, to visit the Royal Tombs. Of these tombs, the most important is that of King Philip II, Alexander the Great's father. Your guide will accompany you inside the museum for a firsthand look at some of King Philip's most important possessions, including the king's shield and gold-trimmed breast plate. Also on display are gold diadems of unparalleled artistry, lavish wall paintings and a golden wreath of oak leaves. Afterward, lunch will be served at a local restaurant overlooking the immense Aliakmon Valley, before you return to Thessaloníki and the ship.
TRAPANI (Italy)
TPS01 – THE MEDIEVAL TOWN OF ERICE

A 1-hour coach drive will take you to the fascinating medieval town of Erice, located on the top of a mountain of the same name, affording a unique view of Trapani and the Egadi islands. Erice a charming town where time seems to stand still and where myth, legend and history are all mixed together. Legend says that the son of the goddess of love Venus, Eryx , built a temple to honor his mother and then established a town. You will be seduced by its winding cobbled stone streets, the beautiful houses courtyards and its hidden corners. Your itinerary will include key attractions such as the Mother Church, built in 1313, the Balio Gardens and to the Castle of Venus, a Norman fortification located where once stood the ancient acropolis and the temple of Venus. Before returning to the port you will have the opportunity to buy a souvenir in the many typical local handicraft shops.

TPS02 – SEGESTA
Duration: approx. 4 hours
Join us on a half-day tour that will take you back in time, to the origins of the Greek colonization of this part of Sicilian territory. You will reach Segesta, located in a beautiful position, in the middle of green hills and fields, to visit its archaeological site that reflects the presence of several ancient civilizations. You will have the opportunity to admire the Greek temple, built in the V century B.C., and considered one of the best preserved in the world with its 36 Doric columns. Next you you continue to the
Theatre, built during the hellenistic age and restored by the Romans; it rises on top of a hill overlooking the Gulf. The path to reach the theatre will allow you to find out the remains of the ancient town. Explore the site at your pace before returning to the port.

TPS03 – AN INTRODUCTION TO TRAPANI
Duration: approx. 4 hours
Enjoy a sightseeing tour of Trapani, partly by coach and partly on foot, to unveil the treasure od this lovely Sicilian town. A coach ride will take you to your first destination: the Pepoli Museum, located inside a former Carmelite convent right next to the Church of Madonna of Trapani or “Santuario dell’Annunziata”. Organized in 5 sections, the museum houses collections of jewels, marble sculptures, coral jewellery, paintings and an ancient guillotine. After the visit, the tour will continue with a sightseeing drive passing by Trapani's historical city center before taking an enjoyable walking through the streets of the town. You will admire the beautiful facades of the main churches of the town: the Cathedral, the church of the Collegio dei Gesuiti, the church of Saint Agostino and the church of Purgatorio; this last one houses the famous statues of "Misteri", that are 21 wooden statues belonging to the 18th century. At the end of the guided tour you will have some free time for shopping before walking back to ship.
TPS04 – BOAT CRUISE IN THE “STAGNONE” LAGOON AND WINE TASTING
Duration: approx. 4 hours
Join us on an excursion to discover the natural sceneries of the lagoon of the “Stagnone”, the most important and biggest lagoon in Sicily, an area declared regional natural reserve. A 1-hour coach drive will take you to the embarcadero from where your boat exploration begins, admiring its four islands; among them Mothia is the most important. Your guide will give you explanations of the islands as you take this gentle cruise on the lagoon water. Once on the land again you will board a coach to reach the town of Marsala and a winery for a delightful session of the famous Marsala wine.

TPS05 – MOTHIA AND WINE TASTING

Excursion to discover the ancient Phoenician colony of Mothia, located on San Pantaleo island, in the lagoon of the “Stagnone”. A 1-hour coach drive will take you to the embarcadero from where you will sail to Mothia, founded by the Phoenicians. Mothia was extremely powerfull till its destruction in 397 BC under Dionysius tyrant of Siracuse. Walking on the island you will visit the museum and admire the marble statue “Giovinetto di Mozia”, dating back to the V century BC., Greek and Phoenicin pottery and jewels. The visit will continue to the House of Mosaics and to the city gates before re-boarding the boat to reach your coach and the town of Marsala. Enjoy a a delightful session of the famous Marsala wine and taste some typical Sicilian biscuits.

The largest Norwegian town north of the Arctic Circle, the last inhabited town before the hostile polar region and the starting point for many polar expeditions, Tromso is the gateway to the Arctic. Culturally rich and visually pleasing, one of the main sights here are natural – it has the highest levels of Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis).

The pretty and bustling Norwegian town of Tromsø, situated on the small island of Tromsøya, is a place of art, history, excellent cuisine and a sophisticated nightlife. But the feature for which Tromsø is best known is its northerly location, some 350 kilometres further up from the start of the Arctic Circle and one of the best spots on earth to witness the curious phenomenon known as the Northern Lights. Your tour of the town begins with a stop at Tromsø Museum for a look at its collection of Sámi artefacts, archaeological finds, religious art exhibits and an intriguing machine that simulates the Northern Lights. The tour then continues towards the so-called “Arctic Cathedral”, a place of worship that is actually a church. With the vibrant Norwegian town of Tromsø mainly being known for its extreme northerly location some 350 kilometres up from the start of the Arctic Circle and one of the best places on earth to observe the fabulous natural phenomenon called the Northern Lights, it is perhaps no surprise that it is also home to a major university and the Polaria Centre, which this tour will give you an opportunity to explore. Thanks to its spectacular setting on the island of Tromsøya, the town enjoys all-round views of the amazing surrounding landscape – wild, rugged and snow-capped. An enjoyable sightseeing tour of Tromsø begins this outing, after which you will pay the fascinating Polaria Centre a visit. Try a polar walk, check out the various aquariums showing marine life in polar areas and watch a wide-screen film about arctic life. You will then continue on to the so-called “Arctic Cathedral”, which is in actual fact a parish church. The striking building – pure white and triangular in shape – was constructed in 1965 and is often called “the Opera House of Norway” because of its distinctive look that somewhat resembles the famous Sydney Opera House. Tromsø is considered to be the gateway to the Arctic and is beautifully located on a forest-covered island linked to the mainland by a long bridge. Your tour begins with a stop at Tromsø Museum. Among the various Sami, archaeological and religious art exhibits, the museum also has an intriguing Northern Lights machine. The tour then continues towards the Arctic Cathedral. This parish church was built in 1965 and is often called “the Opera House of Norway” because of its distinct look. Next you will continue on towards Lake Prestvannet, a small body of water that was originally built as a reservoir in 1867 and ultimately turned into a nature reserve in 1921. A ride up by cable car will then take you to Mount Storsteinen, which presides over the countryside below at a height of 420 metres above sea level and affords spectacular views of Tromsø and the surrounding islands. Your scenic tour concludes with a leisurely journey back to the port and your ship.

TSO05 – POLARIA CENTRE & WILDERNESS CENTRE

Thanks to Tromsø’s location some 350 kilometres north of the Arctic Circle, the town is popular as a starting point for many arctic expeditions and considered to be the gateway to the Arctic. This entertaining excursion combines a visit to the fascinating Polaria Centre with a trip to a husky farm and wilderness camp. First up is the Polaria Centre, where you can go for a polar walk, take a look at a range of aquariums supporting marine life typically found in polar areas and enjoy a wide-screen film about “life in the freezer”. Then you’ll make your way to the wonderful wilderness camp run by Tove Sorensen and Tore Albrightsen, along with their 3 children. The camp is also home to a pack of more than 300 Alaskan huskies, which the couple successfully breeds in these pristine surroundings. A short whistle-stop sightseeing tour is also scheduled to bring this polar-themed tour to a perfect close.

TSO07 – NATURE WALK WITH HUSKIES
Duration: approx. 4 hours
Experience Northern Norway's unique arctic landscape with a trekking offering your lovely views. We leave the pier by coach and cross over the forest clad island of Troms where Tromsø was founded in 1794 on the way to the Sandnessund bridge to reach the island Kvaløya (Whale island). The island is mountainous with some very characteristic peaks more than 1.000 m high. Our destination is the Wilderness Center where the couple Tove Sørensen and Tore Albrigtsen lives with their children, assistants, and over 300 Alaskan huskies. Upon arrival the dogs and puppies are excited to meet you – and you will have time to get acquainted with them. An experienced outdoor guide and huskies will take you on a trek through the rolling arctic hills. Before we start exploring the surrounding area on foot, you will be given the option to take along “your own” husky on the trek. Back at the Wilderness Centre you will be offered coffee and cake in the Lavvo (Sami Tentlike building). Your experience in nature concludes with your coach drive to the port.
Please note: dogs are changing their fur in the summer and may look a little scruffy; this is not a sign of neglect, but a natural process. Dogs will be happy to see guests and may jump up in joy; guests should therefore be prepared that they might get dirty, especially if it has been raining. It is also possible to view the dogs from a distance for those who prefer so. It’s advisable to dress according to the weather and preferably in layers. Comfortable walking/hiking shoes are recommended as the trek is on a nature trail; with uneven grounds that can be muddy of it has been raining. TRONDHEIM (Norway)
The Viking town of Trondheim is situated next to a large fjord, Tronheimsfjorden, on the central Norwegian coast. In the middle of this historic city are several of Norway’s great tourist attractions including Nidaros Cathedral, to which thousands of pilgrims flock every year.

This tour will give you an introduction to Trondheim by coach and tram. Board the Graskall Line Trolley which opened in 1924 and which has played a part in daily Trondheim life ever since. Visit a picturesque district of painted wooden houses and the old XVI century fortifications.

Drive out of town to Ringve Museum, the only museum in Norway to specialize in musical instruments with displays of instruments from all over the world.
