COP02T or COP02D - DRAGØR VILLAGE & COPENHAGEN SIGHTSEEING

Duration: approx. 4 hours

Discover Copenhagen and the neighbouring town of Dragør on this enjoyable sightseeing tour, which begins with the main attractions of lovely Copenhagen, the Danish capital, with a first stop at the Little Mermaid, Copenhagen’s most iconic landmark. Other places of interest include the stock exchange building and the vibrant canal-side Nyhavn district. After leaving the city, a coach will then take you on an approx. 30-minute drive to Dragør, giving you a chance to get a look at the bridge that connects Denmark with Sweden. Known for its many preserved historical buildings, the old part of Dragør town forms a labyrinth of picturesque alleyways, cobbled streets and traditional brightly painted Danish houses. Your trip to this charming old seafaring town is rounded off by a drink and a delicious Danish pastry.

COP03T or COP03D - CHRISTIANSBORG PALACE & COPENHAGEN SIGHTSEEING TOUR

Duration: approx. 3 hours

Discover the beauty of Copenhagen on this enjoyable excursion that combines sightseeing with a visit to one of the city’s most important locations: Christiansborg Palace on the islet of Slotsholmen in the city centre. The complex was rebuilt three times over the years and also claims a unique status in the world as the only building to house all three supreme powers of a country at once: the parliament, the prime minister’s office and the supreme court. Some parts of the palace continue to be used by the Danish royal family as well. A guided tour of the palace’s richly adorned royal reception rooms and halls is followed by the sightseeing leg of the tour, which will take you to see the Little Mermaid, Amalienborg Palace, the Church of Holmen, Rosenborg Castle, the Old Stock Exchange and Tivoli Park.

COP04T - ONE DAY IN COPENHAGEN

Duration: full day, lunch not included

Leave the port for a comprehensive tour of the Danish capital that will take you past the main points of interest. A photo stop at the Little Mermaid will be followed by a visit to Christiansborg Palace for a chance to view the lavish royal reception rooms and halls. The palace complex was actually rebuilt three times in the course of its history. Next up is Copenhagen’s Tivoli, the famous amusement park and pleasure gardens in the middle of the city. There will be time for you to enjoy the entertaining park, have a spot of lunch (not included in the price of the tour) or go shopping. Before returning to the ship, the tour will be brought to a close with a scenic boat trip around Copenhagen’s canal system, giving you a chance to discover the cityscape from a wholly new perspective.

COP09D - CITY TOUR EXPRESS

Duration: approx. 2.5 hours

This short, but informative city tour starts with a photo stop at the statue of Hans Christian Andersen’s Little Mermaid, which was commissioned in honour of the fairytale by the founder of a Danish beer brand in 1909. Although only small in stature, the mermaid is beautifully sculpted and well worth a snapshot or two. Copenhagen’s stunning waterfront and canal district in Nyhavn is next, home to a plethora of fashionable cafés, bars and restaurants. Next to the harbour’s many historical ships, the quarter is also known for its brightly coloured 17th- and early 18th-century buildings. An outside viewing of Amalienborg Palace, which was bought by the Danish monarchy at the end of the 18th century and now sees service as the royal family’s winter residence, rounds off your tour before you are dropped at the airport.

COP13T or COP13D - ROSENBORG CASTLE, CITY DRIVE & SHOPPING

Duration: approx. 4 hours

Rosenborg Castle is set in tranquil green parkland and was designed and built in the XVII century by King Christian IV who used the Castle as his summer palace. Your visit will include the beautiful display rooms which highlight treasures such as the Royal Crown Jewels and ‘objets d’art’. Our excursion will continue with a city drive around the major sights such as the Parliament, Christiansborg, the Naval Church and the Old Stock Exchange. En route you will pass in front of Amalienborg Palace, the queen’s winter residence and where you will have a short break. Your next stop is Stroget, a long pedestrian shopping street and Copenhagen’s most famous and dynamic main street. Your guide will tell you about pick up and departure points back to the port and then you are free to shop and explore at your leisure.

COP15T or COP15D – CITY HARBOUR CRUISE

Duration: approx. 3 hours

We will leave the pier for a short sightseeing tour through the city’s key sights; we will admire Christiansborg Palace and the old Stock Exchange which was built by King Christian IV and which boasts a spectacular spire of intertwining dragon tails, before continuing to the vibrant waterfront district of Nyhavn, once a favourite haunt for sailors and today a charming area lined with 400-year-old gabled houses, pavement café and bars. Next, we will continue to Amalienborg Palace for a short walking and to learn more about this important monument. In Gammel Strand we will board a boat for a trip on the city’s attractive canals, taking pictures from the water. We will sail through the picturesque canal district of Christianshavn and see the ultra-modern Black Diamond building which houses the Royal Library before passing through the old naval area to admire the Opera House.

CORFU (Greece)

COR01 - ACHILLEION’ S PALACE

Duration: approx. 4 hours

In the days of ancient Greece, Corfu marked the final stage of the legendary trip made by the mythological Greek god, Odysseus, on his journey home to Ithaca. While hardly of epic proportions, this tour will certainly give you a chance to enjoy Corfu’s lush landscape as you travel around the island. The excursion includes a visit to Achilleion’s Palace, a beautiful white mansion and the former residence of Queen Elizabeth of Austria – who was affectionately known as Sisi. The richly decorated palace is set in pretty gardens overlooking the sea and is dedicated to another hero from Greek mythology, Achilles. Before you return to the port and your ship, you will also have a chance to pay Corfu town a brief visit and spend a little free time strolling around.



Please note: guests in a foldable wheelchair can take part in this tour though there will be limitations in visiting some rooms of the Palace and the gardens.

COR02 - BEACH TOUR

Duration: approx. 3.5 hours

What is green and rocky and situated in the Ionian Sea? The beautiful Greek island of Corfu, of course. This popular holiday destination is known for its incredible countryside, relaxed lifestyle and any number of gorgeous beaches. Upon leaving the port, a coach will take you to one of these lovely beaches for a few hours of pure relaxation. Soak up the sun and get your fill of amazing views out to sea as you while away the time sitting on the shore of this enchanting Ionian island. Your beach excursion ends with your return to the port and your ship.

COR03 - PALEOKASTRITZA

Duration: approx. 4 hours

After leaving the port of Corfu, a short and scenic drive takes you through the island’s interior, which is characterised by orange groves, cypress and pine trees, to the west coast and the beautiful bay of Palaiokastritsa just south of Angelokastro. You will have a chance to visit Palaiokastritsa’s Byzantine Monastery, which is situated high up on a rocky promontory with gorgeous views of the island and the Ionian Sea. While the monastery was originally founded in the early 13th-century, the current complex dates from the 18th century and is still home to a handful of monks even today. The monastery church is ornately painted with icons and frescoes covering the walls and ceilings. On returning to Corfu town, you will have time to explore the vicinity on your own before returning to the ship.



Please note: this excursion is not a beach tour but it offers the possibility to do a brief stop on the beach for those guests who won't be interested in the Monastery visit. The beach does not offer any kind of infrastructure.
COR04 - BOAT TOUR

Duration: approx. 5 hours

Board a motorboat for a pleasure cruise along the coast past Corfu’s picturesque old town, historical port district and the city’s 16th-century Venetian fortification, known as the New Fortress because there is also an even older one. The tour then continues on to the islet of Pontikos, a tiny patch of land near the coast that is colloquially known as Mouse Island due to an optical illusion, as a result of which a white staircase on the isle resembles a mouse’s tail from afar. A photo stop will be made at Vlacherna Monastery. A further stop at Corfu town’s Faliraki quarter will give you a chance to have a drink and watch the world go by at a café. The final call on your tour is the tiny island of Vido at the mouth of Corfu port. You will have time to relax and swim in the Ionian Sea.

COR05 - SAFARI JEEP

Duration: approx. 5 hours

Spend a few hours off the ship getting acquainted with the beautiful island of Corfu, its wonderful scenery, lovely views and pretty villages in self-drive jeeps. Brief photo stops will be made along the way to ensure you can take all the snapshots you need to fill the family album. Before returning to the port, you will have time to gather your strength and relax at a traditional inn. Apart from having a refreshing drink, you will also have a chance to enjoy a typical Corfu folk dance show.



Please note: as drivers are not included in the tour, guests will be expected to drive the jeep(s) themselves. An international driver’s license is compulsory. Each jeep can accommodate a maximum of 4 guests, incl. the driver.
COR06 – AQUALAND

Duration: approx. 4 hours

Just a short coach drive from Corfu port in the town of Agios Ioannis lies the largest waterpark in the whole of Greece: Aqualand. This is an ideal destination for the whole family with any number of water-based attractions to keep you entertained. Have a go on the Giant Slides, the Multislide, the Black Hole, the Four Twisters, the Kamikazees, the Crazy River or the Hydritube for bags of watery fun. For younger guests, the park also provides special children’s areas such as a shallow pool and waterslides as well as the Slippery Octopus, Screaming Frog and Shower Mushroom. You will have plenty of time to enjoy the park’s numerous attractions and services, which also include bars, restaurants, cabins, sunbeds and parasols. Your tour is brought to a close with your return to the port and your ship.

COR07 – PALEOKASTRITZA & WINE TASTING

Duration: 4 hours

Your Greek island excursion begins with a scenic coach ride of about 30 minutes through the lush olive groves, pine trees and cypresses of the Corfu landscape to reach the Kum Quat Factory, your first stop. The informative visit will give you a chance to learn all about how kumquats are harvested and then turned into delicious liqueurs and other fruity treats. Then it’s on to the beautiful bay of Palaiokastritsa for some free time to explore the area and the co-located Byzantine monastery, which dates back to 1228, on your own. Situated high up on a rocky promontory, the monastery offers gorgeous views of the island and the Ionian Sea. The tour then continues up to the mountainside location of Lakones, with more breathtaking views of Palaiokastritsa to enjoy. After a short stop to soak up the atmosphere and perhaps take some photos, it’s on to the traditional village of Makrades and the charming “Colombos” taverna where traditional Greek appetizers – so-called meze – will be served along with some local wine or ouzo, the famous Greek aniseed-flavoured aperitif. The taverna's interior is decorated with traditional 18th- and 19th-century agricultural tools and an intriguing old olive press, which offer a glimpse into a bygone age. This scenic island tour ends with your return to the port and your ship.



Please note: comfortable walking shoes are recommended. This tour includes long periods of walking (1.5 km) on uneven ground with some steps.

COR08 – PANORAMIC SIGHTS OF CORFU

Duration: 4 hours

This enjoyable coach tour combines a visit to Corfu town with a leisurely drive through the olive groves, cypresses and pine trees that are so typical of the island’s beautiful landscape. The first stop will be at the fabulous bay of Palaiokastritsa, where you will have some time to explore on your own after an initial guided tour of the area. A brief photo stop will be made the village of Lakones at the Golden Fox Café, whose stunning hillside location affords breathtaking views of Palaiokastritsa bay and has earned it the nickname of “God’s Balcony” among the locals. After a break in the village of Lakones, you will return to Corfu for an enjoyable drive-by sightseeing tour of the town. The route will take you past the ancient Greek ruins in Paleòpolis and the villa of Mon Repos, which served as the summer residence of the former King of Greece, as well as Garitsa Bay and the city’s 14th-century old Venetian fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The tour will also give you a chance to see the Spianada esplanade, once used to drill Napoleon’s army in the art of marching, the Royal Palace of St. George and St. Michael, the old port with its traditional caïque fishing boats, the new Venetian fortress and San Rocco square, the commercial centre of Corfu town. Your return to the port and your ship marks the end of your tour.

CORK (Republic of Ireland)
Cork is not only the principal city and administrative centre of County Cork, but is also the second-largest city in the Republic of Ireland. This vibrant, sophisticated and culturally diverse seaport was the European Capital for Culture in 2005. It is also referred to by locals as the “real capital of Ireland”.
ORK01 ― INTRODUCTION TO CORK & BLARNEY CASTLE

Duration: approx. 4 hours

Leave the port for a panoramic sightseeing tour of Cork, Ireland's second-largest city. The busy city is just as much an industrial centre as it is a major shopping destination. The principal streets are lined with fashion houses and department stores stocking top-quality Irish goods. After taking you to see the city’s principal sights including the University, the Opera House and St. Fin Barre's Cathedral, the tour continues with a visit to the lovely village of Blarney and Blarney Castle for a step back in time. Those who wish to be blessed with the “gift of the gab” should not miss this great opportunity to kiss the Blarney Stone, which is just one of the castle’s attractions.



Please note: this tour involves a lot of walking at Blarney Castle. Please also be aware that the steps leading to the Blarney Stone are narrow and steep.
