Duties

Business Services Division (BSD) provides corporate services including payroll, financial processing, procurement, information technology, information management, security and facilities. The Division provides operational and transactional corporate services to other agencies through shared services.
Reporting to the Division Head and Chief Information Officer (CIO) the Security Manager is independently responsible for:


  • Operational management of the security unit and service providers that deliver high quality services aligned with the Treasury’s corporate plan.

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with senior executive, clients, service providers, other government agencies and professional bodies.

  • Leading, managing and developing teams.

  • Management, administration, review, and negotiation of contracts with service providers.

  • Providing leadership as part of the divisional executive team.

  • Managing security policies, incident responses, investigations, briefings, PSPF assurance, reporting, projects, and operations.

  • Ensuring the application of workplace diversity principles in the workplace. Desirable Qualifications / Experience

Mandatory

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Positive Vetting Level security clearance.

Desirable



  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or significant experience in a senior security management role;

  • Experience in undertaking complex and sensitive investigations.

Eligibility


Employees of the Treasury are required to be Australian citizens and are required to obtain a security clearance prior to commencement and maintain this clearance for the duration of their employment.

Non-ongoing opportunity will be offered for a specified term
This recruitment process is being used to fill both ongoing and non-ongoing positions. Non-ongoing opportunities will be offered for a specified term for an initial period of up 12 to 18 months (determined by business requirements), with the possibility of extension up to three years.
