Duties
Applications are sought to fill an ongoing Immunobiologist position in the section to lead the post-market monitoring and testing of Influenza virus vaccines, conducting pre-market evaluation of manufacturing quality for new vaccines and variations to existing products, coordinating functions as per the obligations of the TGA as a WHO-essential regulatory laboratory (WHO- ERL) for Influenza vaccines and performing other duties as required.
Eligibility
To be eligible for this position you must be an Australian Citizen at closing date of application.
Mandatory Qualification
A degree in a biological science field relevant to vaccines and prior experience on Influenza vaccines, is required.

About the TGA
The Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) is part of the Australian Government Department of Health, and is responsible for regulating therapeutic goods including, vaccines, medicines and medical devices.
The TGA administers the Therapeutic Goods Act 1989 (the Act), applying a risk management approach designed to ensure therapeutic goods supplied in Australia meet acceptable
standards of quality, safety and efficacy (performance), when necessary.
We evaluate therapeutic goods before they are marketed and monitor them once they are on the market and assess the suitability of medicines and medical devices for export from Australia.
We also regulate manufacturers of therapeutic goods to ensure they meet acceptable standards of manufacturing quality.

Smart Centre’s operating hours are primarily between 8.00am-5.30pm with some locations providing extended services where you may be required to work outside normal hours, including weekends.
