Duties

The Community Disability Connector is a Palm Island based and trusted resource that helps build the understanding about the National Disability Insurance Scheme in remote communities. The role will play an active part in connecting local people with disability and their families with the National Disability Insurance Agency and providers.

The role will be supported by a Local Area Coordinator also located on Palm Island and both positions will be staff of the National Disability Insurance Agency. Both roles will also be supported by Agency Townsville based staff.

Eligibility

Successful candidates will be required to undergo a pre-employment National Police History check, and provide evidence of Australian Citizenship. Failure to do so may jeopardise your offer of employment.

Dependent on the role the appropriate working with children and/or vulnerable people checks may need to be undertaken as per State Legislation.
