Duties
The Ministerial and Parliamentary Section (MaPS) is the National Disability Insurance Agency’s (NDIA) central coordination point for ministerial and parliamentary activity. MaPS is responsible for the coordination and management of a wide range of documents and processes related to the Minister for Social Services, the Assistant Minister for Social Services, the NDIA Executive as well as a number
of parliamentary committees, including the Joint Standing Committee on the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
The section has a diverse range of responsibilities, which include ministerial correspondence, ministerial submissions and briefs, and coordination activities such as Question Time Briefs (QTBs), Senate Estimates and parliamentary committee inquiry hearings, Executive briefing and correspondence, administering the NDIA’s instance of the Parliamentary Document Management System (PDMS), and staff engagement and training on ministerial and parliamentary matters.
Successful candidates will be required to undergo a pre-employment National Police History check, and provide evidence of Australian Citizenship. Failure to do so may jeopardise your offer of employment.
Dependent on the role the appropriate working with children and/or vulnerable people checks may need to be undertaken as per State Legislation.

Non-ongoing opportunity will be offered for a specified term
This position will be offered for a specified term of up to 18 months, with the possibility of extension up to three years. This non-ongoing position may become ongoing. Should the position become ongoing then the Order of Merit established through this selection process may be used to fill the vacancy on an ongoing basis.
