Duties

The Ministerial and Parliamentary Section (MaPS) is the National Disability Insurance Agency’s (NDIA) central coordination point for ministerial and parliamentary activity. MaPS is responsible for the coordination and management of a wide range of documents and processes related to the Minister for Social Services, the Assistant Minister for Social Services, the NDIA Executive as well as a number of parliamentary committees, including the Joint Standing Committee on the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

The section has a diverse range of responsibilities, which include ministerial correspondence, ministerial submissions and briefs, and coordination activities such as Question Time Briefs (QTBs), Senate Estimates and parliamentary committee inquiry hearings, Executive briefing and correspondence, administering the NDIA’s instance of the Parliamentary Document Management System (PDMS), and staff engagement and training on ministerial and parliamentary matters.

Eligibility

Successful candidates will be required to undergo a pre-employment National Police History check, and provide evidence of Australian Citizenship. Failure to do so may jeopardise your offer of employment.

Dependent on the role the appropriate working with children and/or vulnerable people checks may need to be undertaken as per State Legislation.

Duties

The Director, Quality Assurance within the Business Assurance and Compliance Branch will be responsible for leading, developing, implementing and maintaining a Quality Assurance Program to ensure the quality of service standards.
In this role, you will be accountable for engaging with service delivery, actuarial and other stakeholders to manage internal and external quality audits, conduct analyses and maintain quality records to evaluate effective audit, risk management and compliance against legislation, policies and procedures. You will encourage and develop a culture of high performance, professionalism and continuous improvement, and identify opportunities and solutions to improve service delivery.
You will have demonstrated leadership experience delivering programs or projects of significance, preferably within Public Sector assurance or fraud frameworks.
Duties

• 
  Lead a team within a legislated environment where decisions involve judgement based on the assembly, analysis and application of all available evidence.
  
• 
  Lead the design, development, coordination and implementation of the Agency’s Annual Quality Assurance Program.
  
• 
  Provide strategic advice, problem solving and issues management for internal and external stakeholders in relation to complex and potentially sensitive matters.
  
• 
  Provide advice to BM, GM on operational quality assurance strategies
  
• 
  Lead and support the timely delivery of Executive, Board, and other stakeholders reports on the results of quality assurance reviews and other business assurance activity.
  
• 
  Actively engage with stakeholders to support the management of recommendation and improvement strategies
  
• 
  Lead and support contracted services for the provision of Quality Assurance reviews

Please note, this role will be re-located to Geelong, Victoria (National Office) by July 2019. Non-ongoing opportunity will be offered for a specified term

This position will be offered for a specified term of up to 18 months, with the possibility of extension up to three years.

This non-ongoing position may become ongoing. Should the position become ongoing then the Order of Merit established through this selection process may be used to fill the vacancy on an ongoing basis.
