Duties


Business Services Division (BSD) provides corporate services including payroll, financial processing, procurement, information technology, information management, security and facilities.
Applications and IT Security Unit (SU)
The Applications and IT Security Unit supports a wide range of corporate and business applications, and ensure that Treasury’s are IT systems, networks and infrastructure are secure.
Reporting to the Head of IT, the Applications and IT Security Manager is responsible for:


  • Supporting a wide range of corporate and business applications, including Budget systems and SharePoint.

  • Managing IT security policies, projects, delivery and operations.

  • Managing Treasury’s quality assurance and testing function.

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with senior executive, clients, service providers, other government agencies and professional bodies.

  • Managing and negotiating contracts with service providers.

  • Leading, managing and developing the team.

  • Providing leadership as part of the IT executive team.

  • Ensuring the application of workplace diversity principles in the workplace. Desirable Qualifications / Experience

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or significant experience in information technology;

  • Experience with applications management and/or IT security.

Eligibility


Employees of the Treasury are required to be Australian citizens and are required to obtain a security clearance prior to commencement and maintain this clearance for the duration of their employment.

Treasury is looking for a Senior Project Officer to support the work of several Treasury-run forums. The Senior Project Officer will work in a small team to plan, manage and accurately record meetings and events.
The Senior Project Officer will undertake a variety of high level administrative and operational support activities. This includes organising meeting papers and agendas, accurately taking Minutes, and liaising with stakeholders by phone, in writing and in person.
The Secretariat is a professional stakeholder engagement service which provides administrative, financial, logistical and operational support for a range of forums. These forums include the Consumer Affairs Forum (CAF), the Financial Reporting Council (FRC), the Financial Sector Advisory Council (FSAC) and the Foreign Investment Review Board (FIRB).
The Secretariat is focused on providing a high-level of client service to its various stakeholders. The Secretariat values high- level organisational and project management skills, a team-oriented mindset, and a flexible and innovative approach to service delivery.
Desirable skills / experience


  • Project and event management skills - Proven ability to take responsibility for, and display initiative in, managing a project with little direction;

  • Stakeholder engagement skills - Proven ability to develop a rapport and achieve outcomes with external stakeholders;

  • Organisational skills - Proven ability to organise and manage meetings;

  • Record keeping skills - Ability to prepare Agendas and accurately take Minutes at meetings

  • Communication skills - Demonstrated oral and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a small team environment;

  • IT skills - Ability to develop proficiency in computer systems such as Sharepoint and Microsoft Office

  • Demonstrated - commitment to the APS Code of Conduct and APS Values
