Duties
No. PS34 - 24 Aug 2017
The Finance, Budgets and Revenue Assurance Section is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely collection of the ACMA’s administered revenues and the management of a range of other functions including the ACMA’s financial management. The Section is a driver of business improvement within the ACMA and is involved in recommending, supporting and implementing new business initiatives covering all aspects of general financial administration and management.
The Assistant FMIS Administrator is responsible for assisting with the administration of the ACMA’s Finance management system (TechnologyOne). This includes ongoing support for daily financial activities along with developing and testing system enhancements. The role is also responsible for the administration of the Expense8 expense and travel system.
Eligibility
To be eligible for employment with the ACMA, applicants must be an Australian citizen.
This position requires a Baseline level security clearance. The successful applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a security clearance at this level
An applicant’s suitability for employment with the ACMA will be assessed through a pre-employment screening process. This process will include a requirement for the applicant to undertake and satisfy an AFP National Police check and to complete a Health Declaration.

Duties

The Compliance, Enforcement and Education Section is responsible for overseeing compliance with the Spam Act 2003, the Do Not Call Register Act 2006, the Telecommunications (Telemarketing and Research Calls) Industry Standard 2017 and the Fax Marketing Industry Standard 2011.
The section undertakes a range of activities, including:
-
managing complaints, reports and enquiries about telemarketing calls and spam
-
monitoring business compliance with Do Not Call Register and Spam legislation
-
taking business compliance action, including escalated compliance and investigations
-
education and awareness activities with consumer and Industry
-
managing the ACMA phishing alert service and consumer alerts
-
managing ACMA’s international engagement activities related to spam and telemarketing.
As an Investigation and Compliance Officer, you will be required to communicate with a range of internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have sound judgment and highly developed communication skills. Team work and supervision of staff is an essential part of the role. We are seeking a person who has proven ability to drive results in a team- oriented environment
