Duties
The United States Force Posture Initiatives (USFPI) are an extension of Australia’s existing defence relationship with the United States and aims to support our common interest in promoting regional security and stability. The successful applicant will provide administrative and governance assistance to the USFPI Program Office including support for committees, meetings, and working groups. The position coordinates incoming government, governance and public affairs taskings as well as reviews of program office budget achievements and support for whole of program performance reporting and management. It coordinates across all Groups and Services and with US counterparts on governance issues. To support consistent and accurate understanding of the USFPI, the successful applicant will assist to update and maintain the USFPI intranet, internet, SharePoint and Facebook sites.
Eligibility
Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at 'Negative Vetting Level 1'.

Duties

The Chief Information Office Group (CIOG) within the Department of Defence is seeking a self-motivated and experienced people to take on the role of Communication Officer within the Corporate Communication Team.
The Corporate Communication Team is the central point for CIOG communication issues and activities. It supports the Group’s delivery of consistent, co-ordinated, integrated and planned marketing and communications activities which meet CIOG business requirements.
The successful applicants will have a proven track record in communication management and will be an experienced communications professional with excellent writing, editing and technical skills. They will be able to develop and maintain excellent working relationships across the Group, with executive staff and the APS/ADF and contracted workforce.
The applicant will also have a sound understanding of graphic design in the government context and will be responsible for the development and delivery of the Groups internal magazine and the Groups design and production requirements.
The applicant will manage the informal requests received by the team, and liaise with other Defence Groups and Services to manage the production of communication products internal and external to the Group. The applicant will have the skills required to effectively negotiate timeframes to achieve successful outcomes.
The Communication Officers will provide support to the Senior Communication Manager through drafting strategies, liaising with clients internal and external to the Group and will take a lead role in developing other communication work as required.
Eligibility
Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at 'Baseline Vetting' level.
