Duties


Provide professional and technical leadership, support and services within the Perth Programme Office (PPO) in support of the IOC’s High Level Objectives and global programs, under the supervision of and for the Head of the PPO, including planning and implementation of related work plans.

A degree or diploma of an Australian educational institution, or a comparable overseas qualification, which is appropriate to the duties; OR Other comparable qualifications, which are appropriate to the duties.

Duties

The Bureau of Meteorology is Australia's national weather, climate and water information agency and one of the few organisations that touches the lives of all Australians and all Australia, every day.

We are seeking an experienced video producer with skills in camera operating, motion graphics, editing and post-production. As part of the Bureau's Design and Production team in the Community Outreach Program, you will develop video content for the Bureau's YouTube, social media and online presence, and regularly contribute to TV and online media channel products. Guided by the Bureau’s strategic and operational objectives with a strong focus on our customers, you will use your skills to communicate complex weather, climate, water and oceans information.

To be considered, you will require a combination of up-to-date technical knowledge and creative flair. You will have experience working in a large organisation and a commitment to quality, delivery and teamwork. You will have well-developed project management skills, be organised, motivated and able to deliver high-quality video products. Well-developed skills in science communication, photography and script writing are highly desirable.

The role requires developing close working relationships with internal stakeholders including communication, management and technical teams across the Bureau. You will be part of a proactive team responsible for the Bureau’s communication function and contributing to our Strategic Plan (2017–2022.)
