Duties




The Director, Design, Change and Implementation will lead change activities initiated by the Business Assurance and Compliance Branch to ensure change is managed in a way that is sustainable, builds the Agency’s capability and embeds a culture of continuous improvement. This role will demonstrate expert knowledge and experience of business systems that may impact or have significant implications for the Agency or administration of the Scheme.


You will promote and manage relationships and key strategic alliances with internal and external stakeholders including Agency Senior Executive, ICT providers and service providers to drive business transformation.
This role requires a established leader with an extensive knowledge and experience with large change projects, legislative frameworks or programs within an area of responsibility.
Duties

  • Lead a team within a legislated environment where decisions involve judgement based on the assembly, analysis and application of all available evidence

  • Provide strategic advice, problem solving and issues management for internal and external stakeholders in relation to complex and potentially sensitive matters

  • Engage and manage relationships with key business and ICT stakeholders

  • Design, develop and influence delivery of efficient and scalable technical and business solutions

  • Lead and inform assurance, quality and workflow within reform program

  • Imbed quality, risk mitigation and assurance within process and system design and deployment

  • Engage and lead change and support activities across BA&C program of work

  • Provide advice and report to Executive on program performance, key design and implementation issues on technical and business solutions

  • Contribute to the strategic planning of the Agency’s development and deployment of business systems

Eligibility


Successful candidates will be required to undergo a pre-employment National Police History check, and provide evidence of Australian Citizenship. Failure to do so may jeopardise your offer of employment.
Dependent on the role the appropriate working with children and/or vulnerable people checks may need to be undertaken as per State Legislation.

Please note, this role will be re-located to Geelong, Victoria (National Office) by July 2019. Non-ongoing opportunity will be offered for a specified term

This position will be offered for a specified term of up to 18 months, with the possibility of extension up to three years.


This non-ongoing position may become ongoing. Should the position become ongoing then the Order of Merit established through this selection process may be used to fill the vacancy on an ongoing basis.
