Duties

  1. Provide high-level assistance to the Manager, Test Development, Writing and Language Conventions, during all phases of the test development process, with a particular focus on the critical analysis and refinement of potential online Writing and Conventions of Language test items and tests.




  1. Possess the ability to quickly acquire new knowledge of test delivery in a changing testing environment.




  1. Use an online item authoring and review system to write and critically analyse potential test items; contribute to quality assurance processes during the review of potential items for online literacy tests; and assist with the accurate documentation of feedback.




  1. Assist with the selection of items for NAPLAN online Writing and Conventions of Language tests, including the development of trial online test forms, and the development of associated administration handbooks and provide assistance with the proofreading and editing of test materials.




  1. Assist with the development of marking materials for the marking of writing tests




  1. Develop and maintain NAPLAN Writing and Language conventions project documentation, as specified by ACARA, required to monitor project activities, including timelines for item review and feedback, desktop publishing work-flow and deadlines and integration of work with other Assessment and Reporting team deliverables.




  1. Develop and maintain good working relationships with a range of ACARA staff and external stakeholders associated with the provision of the NAPLAN tests




  1. Liaise and collaborate with ACARA’s research team/staff to ensure effective sharing of information and data for the purpose of effective development of the online component of NAPLAN




  1. Perform other duties as required to assist the development of current and future tests in the National Assessment Program suite.



Eligibility


Appropriate tertiary qualifications or demonstrated relevant project experience.

Successful applicants may be required to undergo and maintain a police clearance check, and may include a working with children check.

The AFP is seeking a performance measurement specialist to fill the role of Coordinator Organisational Performance for a non- ongoing 12 month period. This role is responsible for coordinating and the development and maintenance of the AFP’s organisational performance reporting framework.
The key responsibilities include:

  • development of performance measures for the AFP

  • internal and external reporting and analysis of performance information and data

  • coordination of external stakeholder surveys

  • guidance and coordination of strategic planning and business planning, with a particular emphasis on organisational performance measurement

  • external accountability aspects required under the PGPA Act 2013 in relation to organisational performance (Corporate Plan and the Annual Performance Statement in the Annual Report).

The successful candidate will have extensive expertise in organisational performance measurement, data analysis and reporting, strategic planning, data management, information management business, intelligence and business analysis activities.


The successful candidate must have a strong record of values-based leadership and of making a contribution to organisational strategy and performance.

The location of this position is AFP Headquarters, Canberra.

Eligibility


The AFP’s application process for non-policing vacancies consists of two-steps for non-AFP employees. Existing AFP employees only need to undertake step 1 of the process.


Preliminary step: It is strongly recommended that you take action now to obtain a copy or copies of your driving history through the relevant local motor registry or Road Traffic Authority.
Step 1 Application:


  • applicants complete and submit an online application

  • resumes and any other relevant documentation are to be uploaded to the application form and submitted before the closing time

  • once your application has been submitted you will receive an automated email confirming receipt of the application with instructions on how to access the AFP Employment Suitability Questionnaire.

Step 2 AFP Employment Suitability Questionnaire (ESQ):


The ESQ is the tool in which applicant’s character is assessed against the employment character standards. Following the instructions contained in the email from AFP Recruitment confirming receipt of your application, the ESQ must be completed and submitted within 14 calendar days after the closing date of the applications.
Traffic History:
All applicants are required to obtain a copy of their Traffic History. If you have resided in different states or territories, you must supply a traffic history from each state or territory. You are required to include 10 years of traffic history and not older than 3 months from date of application. If you have a traffic history report from more than one state or territory, you will need to scan all documents and attach to your application as one.
Traffic history information is available from the local Motor Registry in your state or territory. Do not upload individual infringement notices or unofficial documentation.
You are required to inform the Recruitment Team (afprecruitment@afp.gov.au) of any offences, infringements or police charges that occur during the recruitment process.
Omitting to supply relevant details may jeopardise your application.
If you do not currently hold, and have never held, a driver’s licence you should upload a Statutory Declaration providing this information.
If you have lived overseas, or have travelled extensively, please provide a Statutory Declaration stating the period you held a licence and listing any traffic offences. If you did not hold a licence during this period, please provide a Statutory Declaration stating this information. Statutory Declarations can be found online.
You need to allow two to three weeks to get access to this information as a minimum. It is recommended that you request these reports at the commencement of your application.

Once the ESQ has been completed applicants will receive an automated email confirming receipt of the ESQ.
