I don't buy them clothes. I generallynew-model-answers-for-part-1-questions I don't buy them clothes. I generally
actually have the same for the most part, I have the same clothes that I had ten years ago.
I'm lucky in that
I still fit into the clothes that I had ten years ago
.
Which is more important to you, the brand or design of the clothes you wear?
Again, this is a purely white shirt. I have a purely blue shirt. I have blue jeans and black
jeans.
I don't spend any time fussing over the design or brand of clothes.
It's simply do
they keep me warm or cool, depending on the weather.
Would you ever spend a lot of money on clothes designed by a famous designer?
Never. In fact, if I received a free costume or a free outfit or a suit from Hugo Boss or
something like that, I would immediately sell it and invest the money in something much
more practical and useful.
Do you think we can understand aspects of someone's personality from the clothing
brands that they choose?
You can probably
identify a few characteristics
, but I think that's true of most clothes. I
think if you take the example of people wearing, let's say, T shirts of bands, their favourite
bands, or wearing football jerseys in public, that tells you quite a bit about somebody.
It
shows group identity and their affiliations and their preferences.
And that's generally why
people wear those things. They want to advertise to the public: "Here's the thing I like, it's
part of who I am". And I presume
the same concept applies to wearing brands
. It
signals
status in society
.
