PROGRAMMES OFFERED BY THE CENTRE FOR BUSINESS LEADERSHIP, UNISA SBL
JULY-OCTOBER 2017
Leading for Innovation (LFI)
Few words in business or other organisations are used as often and as incorrectly as innovation. Yet, despite this lack of understanding on what innovation is and how to develop innovative organisations, it remains one of the most important functions of any organisation. In this course we focus on how to lead for innovation, focusing on the processes and practices that leaders can use to boost innovation in their organisations.
Who should attend?
If you are a senior manager in the public and private sector with a minimum of Matric or equivalent plus an NQF level 8 qualification with at least 10 years’ managerial experience. Alternatively a portfolio of evidence of prior learning will be considered based on Unisa’s policy requirements for short learning programmes.
What are the benefits?
On successful completion of this programme senior managers will be able to:
-
identify opportunities for innovation in their own organisational context;
-
measure the innovation orientation of their organisations and develop programmes for creating a culture of innovation in their organisations; and
-
develop appropriate programmes and processes in their organisations for boosting and managing creativity and innovation.
How much does it cost?
R8,900 This amount includes provision of online learning materials but excludes the cost of books if required.
