Progress report

The antenna group of the programme may consider submitting a project proposal for carrying out R&D in the area of high power wideband antennas for directed energy weapons (DEW).

The Centre may explore the support of DST under the UK-India collaborative research initiative programme in the area of solar energy generation.

The research publications of the Department during the last five years (2004 onwards) may be compiled and documented in the form of a report. Besides, the list of the publication of the Department may also be made available.

In view of excellent work done by the Centre of Advanced Study, the Centre should be named as UGC Centre of Excellence. Furthermore, since the Centre has been given the status of UGC Networking Resource Centre, the Centre should be considered as Inter-University Centre. Hence, more financial assistance from the UGC be provided and accordingly the department should work out a proposal to be submitted to the UGC.
