The earliest is a reg air cover pre-paying airmail from Perth to Adelaide, other reg & censored noted with a wide range of airmail labels inc 1940 with the label obliterated (not jusqu'a), presumably because air service no longer available. Most flown by Imperial Airways, 8 involved in delays due to engine or other mechanical problems, inc SE199 where “Corio” received tail damage at Tiberias (Palestine) 4 Dec 1939, necessitating transfer of mail to “Coogee” following day.
