The project team received 127 associations’ applications for the assessment however only 84 met the assessment criteria, and 60 NGOs were selected for the training. The results of the survey showed that there is a disparity difference between the levels of association and can’t place them together in one training program. Therefore, the training has been divided into two levels (basic level) and (advanced level) the first training has been considered as pre - training for the association that did not complete the second level in order to prepare them for the third level

3 training manuals have been designed in gender, conflict management, and good governance. Notes and ideas have been taken by specialists. Accordingly, three curriculums have been authored and discussed with the trainers and feedback was provided after the training.

The milestone reached in August after implementation the core training for the 58 out of 60 associations from the six targeted GOVs, which start from 9/8-22/8/2014. In this second phase more than 348 trainees (257 male and 91 female), have been graduated from 58 NGOs (one trainee, male or female, per course from each NGO).
As a completion to build the capacities of the targeted NGOs and based on the results of the field survey that has been conducted by THFY in the targeted GOVs, the targeted NGOs have been divided into deferent levels. Evaluating has been conducted to the associations which have been targeted in the previous phase to select the targeted ones in the second phase.

In this component, 28 trainers have been trained on the new training technique for 60 hours in Aden during 6-11/9/2014 ( under this activity, six field teams have been formed to implement 24 training courses in six Gov (( 272 trainers from 68 association )) to provide the development and constitutional support for the association in the targeted governorates through contacting specialized field partner to implement the TOT training and follow up the implementation of the TOT activities in six governorates.

Training course inSa’adah governorate has been closed. It was for the administrative bodies in participating of 40 individuals and 9 foundations and associations in the governorate within the activities of building the capacities of NGOs implemented by THFY in partnering with UNDP (United Nations Development Program) and coordinated by AlalfiahAlhadeethahInstitute. The course continued for 6 days and aimed to provide and build the capacities of the participants and developing their theory and applicable knowledge about the scientific principles of institutional and development work of local associations and foundations and how to offer the development and service projects in scientific and accurate methods and through having the contents and knowledge of the training course which covered the basics of the development work , preparing projects, administrative work , and funding >>>.AmeenAlsaiaghi and AbdulbariAlharoony , supervisors of the course stated that tha participants hugely benefited from the course in refine their abilities and being familiar with knowledge
related to development and administrative work , and ways of support them. The closing ceremony was in presenting of the general secretary of the local council in Sa’adah district and the representative of social issues and labor office in the governorate .

Training program to develop the capacities of NGOs in Amran

Activities of training program of building the capacities of local society have been closed .The activities were implemented by THFY in participation with United Nations Program (UNDP) and coordinated by AlalfiahAlhadeethah Institute. The progam aimed to provide 50 indivduals (male and female ) represent 15 assocaitons and foundations at Amran governorate level with informations and skills relted to building and developing the capacities of NGOs in the basics of the development work , preparing projects, administrative work , and funding>>> . In the closing ceremony which was in presenting the general supervisor of the project HammodAlhaimi . Khalid Alkadhi, Supervisor of the governorate, asserted the importance of conducting training courses that aim to upgrade the NGOs situation and raise the abilities of their stakeholders to the best levels and how to plan and network between the assocaitons and ways of getting funds. Alkadhi stated that the progect aimed to build strong group of able and reliable NGOs and partners working professionally with all bodies in way that enable them to provide the requested support to the populations in need of support in rural and urban centers in Yemen and contributing efficiently in reduction the contradictions at all levels . Pointing out that the THFY and UNDP through deep understanding the weaknesses and strengthens and needs of civil society in general and especially NGOs have stated involving in building the capacities program of NGOs in Aden ,Albaidha’a, Abyan governorates in southern axis and Sa’adah , Amran , Hajjah governorates in northern axis focusing on skills and preventing conflicts including analyzing and negotiating skills ,mediation and sensitive to conflicts development . THFY leading this project in coordination with stakeholders and contracting with the partners bodies , in addition to training the trainers in the targeted governorates and the applying what they were trained about in their governorates where there are 300 individuals have been trained form 80 associations in four fields ( administrative planning ,projects preparing basics of development work , funding >>)
