Dear colleagues,

I would like to inform you that I worked on behalf of  Indian National Science Academy (INSA) together with few world Scientist ( including Chair Professor Haruyama, list enclosed)  to prepare  IAP statement on ‘Science and Technology for Disaster Risk Reduction’. We contributed for preparation of the statement.  I am in Tokyo and document released today 25th November at Science Council of Japan at the Global Forum on Disaster Resilience in the presence of ICSU President Dr. McBean, UN Secretary General Special Representative on Disaster Risk reduction and Director United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction Dr. R. Glasser.
