National Institute of Technology Hamirpur is an Institute of National Importance and is one of the  thirty NITs of the country, established in 1986 as Regional Engineering College, as a joint and cooperative enterprise of the Govt. of India and Govt. of Himachal Pradesh. It has been given the status of Deemed University. The goals of the institute as embodied in the logo are truly remarkable in their scope of vision. ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The department of Mathematics came in to existence in 1st Aug., 2009. Previously, this department was a part of Department of Applied Sciences & Humanities, which came in to existence in 1986. The department is supported by potential and devoted members of faculty. The research potential of faculties of this dept. is witnessed through published books, research papers in journals of both national and international repute and sponsored projects executed funded by various funding agencies such as CSIR, UGC and MHRD. Also, the faculty has the credit of successful guidance of Ph.D. scholars in addition to imparting teaching to B.Tech./B.Arch. and M.Tech. classes of different disciplines. More than 30 scholars have completed their Ph.D. degrees under the supervision of the faculty members of the department and at present 15 scholars are registered for Ph.D. programme. The department has the credit of organizing a national conference on Advances in Mathematics and its Applications-2008 in addition to organizing 46th ISTAM Congress in 2001 and 55th ISTAM Congress in 2010. The department is equipped with ultramodern infrastructural, computing and R&D facilities



Objective

The Main aim of the conference is to promote, encourage, and bring together researchers in the fields of Analysis, Algebra and Topology, Differential Equations, Fuzzy Sets/Rough Set, Mathematical/Environmental Modeling & Simulation Studies, Graph Theory, Discrete Mathematics & Signal Processing Computational Mathematics, Bio-Mathematics, Solid Mechanics, Fluid Mechanics, Theoretical Seismology, Operation Research, Theoretical Computer Science, Software Reliability, Any other relevant areas. A special emphasis will be on the applications to Sciences, Engineering and Industries


Call for Papers


The authors are requested to submit the original work, which is neither accepted nor under consideration for publication elsewhere in MS-word file 6-10 pages at 10pt Times New Roman font. A special session for Young Scientist Award will also be organized. For that, original work may be submitted under the award category with at most two authors out of which possible awardee should be the main author having the age below 35 years on June 30, 2013.

All the accepted papers of registered authors will be included in the conference proceeding which will provided in the form CD. Some of the original quality contributions of AMA-2013 may be published in the peer reviewed Journal/Publisher.


ACCOMMODATION


Participants will be provided hostel accommodation at nominal rates in the NIT Campus. Hotel accommodation will be arranged on receipt of Advance Payment as below:

Single Room : Rs. 1500/- per day

Sharing Basis : Rs. 900/- per day

The conference will be held at the Department of Mathematics, National Institute of Techonology, Hamirpur (H.P.). NIT is located on NH-70, the outskirts of Hamirpur town.

Rail Link

Nearest broad gauge train head is at Una (Himachal Pradesh), at a distance of 80 Kms from Hamirpur. Una is well linked to all parts of India and journey is of nine hours from Old Delhi Railway Station. Taxi/Bus services are available from Hamirpur to Una. NIT Hamirpur is around 3 kilometers away from Hamirpur bus stand.

Road Link

The campus is situated at Anu in Hamirpur district of Himachal Pradesh and is 3 Kms from main bus stand of Hamirpur on Jalandhar Mandi (NH-70). The city of Hamirpur is well connected with the rest of the country by road. Hamirpur is at a distance of about 480 Kms from Delhi.



REGISTRATION FEE

Registration is compulsory for all the delegates. The Registration fee includes food, refreshment and conference kit. Registration fee is Rs 1000/- for students, Rs. 2000/- for other Indian delegates and USD 200 for foreigner delegates.
