TD S2 160055 LS from TSG SA: LS on LTE support for V2X services. (TSG SA)
Abstract: 3GPP Technical Specification Group (TSG) Service & Systems Aspects (SA) Working Group 1 (WG1) has recently completed a study on LTE support for V2X Services in 3GPP Technical Report (TR) 22.885 (attached), as approved at the TSG SA#70 meeting, December 2015. 3GPP TR 22.885 identifies corresponding use cases and potential requirements. The follow-up Stage 1 work has also just started in SA WG1 aiming at defining normative requirements on the basis of TR 22.885. In addition, studies are ongoing on the overall system architecture in SA WG2, on the system security in SA WG3 as well as on the radio interface in TSG Radio Access Network (RAN) WG1. Please note that 3GPP is currently focusing on developing transport aspects over LTE. TSG SA would like to ask the recipient groups to review, and/or to engage with relevant local SDOs, industry fora and government agencies to do so, the use cases and potential requirements documented in TR 22.885 and to provide timely feedback such that it can be taken into account in the follow-up work in 3GPP. Furthermore, TSG SA would like to highlight that further work on V2X is expected in the next 3GPP standards releases (Release 15 and Release 16). Work on these releases is expected to continue through 2019. TSG SA encourages further input to the work on V2X in 3GPP. Action: TSG SA kindly requests the recipient groups to take the above information and the ongoing work on V2X into account.

TD S2 160006 LS from RAN WG1: LS on resource allocation principles in PC5 based V2V. (RAN WG1) (Revision of TD S2 153736).
Abstract: RAN WG1 reached the following agreements on resource allocation principles in PC5-based V2V: [...] Action: RAN WG1 respectfully asks RAN WG2, RAN WG3, and SA WG2 to take into consideration the above RAN WG1 agreements in their work.
