TD S2 160208 LS from CT WG1: Reply LS on introduction of new establishment cause for mobile originating calls. (CT WG1)
Abstract: CT WG1 thanks RAN for the LS on introduction of new establishment cause for mobile-originating calls and wishes to provide the following feedback on the action indicated below.
To CT WG1: RAN respectfully asks CT WG1 check whether the agreed CR RP-152056 causes any modifications would be required to the NAS specification, specifically to the mapping between AS and NAS establishment causes in TS 24.301 Annex D, and implement the identified changes from Rel 12 onward.
Reply: CT WG1 has discussed the solution agreed at RAN about replacing the RRC establishment cause provided from NAS to AS for the case of originating MMTEL voice call.
As the AS layer may change the RRC establishment cause provided from NAS layer, CT WG1 has agreed the CRs in C1-160607, C1-160608 to add an informative note in the TS 24.301 Annex D in the Table D1.1 to document the solution from Rel 12 onwards.
