| Discussion and conclusion:
Some editorial corrections were needed. Ericsson commented that there is another mechanism which can be used for non-roaming. Nokia Networks commented that it is preferable to have the same mechanism for both roaming and non-roaming scenarios. T-Mobile asked whether this was needed to be added now for normal calls, as the emergency call procedure is not yet defined. The SA WG2 Chairman commented that the EIR of the home network is used, whereas for CS and PS the EIR of the visited network is currently used. NTT DOCOMO commented that the EIR of the visited network is used in some regions to block unregistered UEs after a certain period of use. This was left for further off-line discussion and revised in TD S2 160723 which was later withdrawn (not provided).

Abstract: Summary of change: Specify the procedure of IMEI check during the initial attach over untrusted WLAN access: It is specified that the ePDG is the entity that triggers the IMEI check for a UE, the ePDG retrieves the IMEI(SV) from the UE via IKEv2 procedures.
Then the ePDG requests the AAA server to perform IMEI check towards the EIR and to follow the 'actions on IMEI check result' indication included in that request;
- The AAA server may provide the IMEI Check Result to the ePDG for e.g. statistics.
No need to change clause 7.2.4 as it refers to 7.2.1 for these changes.
Discussion and conclusion:
This was reviewed and left for further off-line discussion and was revised in TD S2 160724 which was later withdrawn (not provided).
