TS-44 705 HIGHWAY DELINEATORS:
GENERAL: All construction shall conform to FDOT Standard Specification Section 705, except as otherwise modified or amended herein.
MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT: Payment for Highway Delineators shall include all labor, supervision, equipment, material and incidentals necessary to complete the work. Payment shall be made under:

TS-45 706 RAISED RETRO-REFLECTIVE PAVEMENT MARKERS:
GENERAL: All work under this section shall conform to the provisions of the FDOT Specifications Section 706, FDOT Indices and the Contract Plans, except as modified herein. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals required to complete this work.
METHOD OF MEASUREMENT: The quantities to be paid for will be the number of RPMs, furnished and installed, completed and accepted.
BASIS OF PAYMENT: General: Price and payment will be full compensation for all work specified in this Section. Lump Sum Payment: Price and payment for retro-reflective pavement markers will not be measured or paid for separately, when the item for painted pavement markings (Final Surface) is included

TS-46 710 PAINTED PAVEMENT MARKINGS:
GENERAL: All work under this section shall conform to the provisions of the FDOT Specifications Section 710, FDOT Indices, the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) and the Contract Plans, except as modified herein except the final painting shall be completed no sooner than 30 days and no later than 60 days from the last day of paving on a roadway as determined by the County Representative. The work specified in this section consists of all labor, materials, equipment and supervision necessary to layout and installation of all pavement markings.
Unless otherwise directed by the County all longitudinal striping on roadways over 20’ wide shall be striped with six (6) inch paint striping and 20’ wide or less shall be four (4) inch paint striping to a thickness of 15 mils. Glass spheres must be applied immediately and uniformly following application of any painted lines. The Contractor shall complete all corrective work by a method approved by the County to obliterate incorrect striping. The painting over unacceptable or incorrect striping will not be accepted or allowed. Once the obliteration of unacceptable or incorrect striping has been accepted by the County the Contractor shall paint the correct striping and/or marking.
All Transverse Markings, Stop Bars, Crosswalks, Symbols and Word Messages shall be Thermoplastic material per Section 711. These materials must be on the Florida DOT QPL list.
METHOD OF MEASUREMENT: The quantities to be paid for under this Section will be as follows:
Lump Sum, as specified in Application - Final Surface when the item for Painted Pavement Markings (Final
Surface) is included in the proposal.
BASIS OF PAYMENT: Lump Sum Payment: Prices and payments will be full compensation for all work specified in this Section, including, all cleaning and preparing of surfaces, furnishing of all materials, application, curing and protection of all items, protection of traffic, furnishing of all tools, machines and equipment, and all incidentals necessary to complete the work, including two applications of all Painted Pavement Markings applied to the final surface, and one application of Retro-reflective Pavement Markers applied to the final surface in accordance with Section 706. Final payment will be withheld until all deficiencies are corrected.

TS-47 711 THERMOPLASTIC TRAFFIC STRIPES AND MARKINGS:
GENERAL: All work under this section shall conform to the provisions of the FDOT Specifications Section 711, FDOT Indices, the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) and the Contract Plans, except as modified herein. All marking which are required to be Thermoplastic material shall be applied as temporary paint, unless the County Representative provides a written waive to this requirement. The final Thermoplastic markings shall be completed no sooner than 30 days and no later than 60 days from the last day of paving on a roadway as determined by the County Representative. The work specified in this section consists of all labor, materials, equipment and supervision necessary to layout and installation of all pavement markings.
METHOD OF MEASUREMENT: The quantities to be paid for under this Section will be as follows:

The length, in net miles, of 6 inch solid traffic stripe, authorized and acceptably applied.

The total traversed distance in gross miles of 10-30 or 3-9 skip line. The actual applied line is 25% of the traverse distance, for a 1:3 ratio. This equates to 1,320 feet of marking per mile of single line.

The net length, in feet, of all other types of lines and stripes, authorized and acceptably applied.

The area, in square feet, of removal of existing pavement markings, acceptably removed.

The number of pavement messages, symbols and directional arrows, authorized and acceptably applied.
BASIS OF PAYMENT: Prices and payments will be full compensation for all work specified in this Section, including, all cleaning and preparing of surfaces, furnishing of all materials, application, curing and protection of all items, protection of traffic, furnishing of all tools, machines and equipment, and all incidentals necessary to complete the work. Final payment will be withheld until all deficiencies are corrected.
