Recommendation
3.30 Although we appreciate the matters that have been raised in this further consultation on Lisburn courthouse, we do not consider that there have been any matters raised with us that would mean that our recommendation that we published in November 2015 should be altered.
3.31 It is therefore remains NICTS recommendation that Lisburn courthouse should close and the business transferred to Laganside Courts.
4. Court Structures and Boundaries
4.1 Following the recommendation in respect of Lisburn courthouse the court structure and boundaries will reflect those set out in our previous response and recommendation document. The table below and map on the following page sets out the makeup of the final recommended Administrative Court Divisions.
4.2 This reflects the allocation of business to the three new Administrative Court Divisions and the court locations within those Divisions. We are conscious that the implementation of the single jurisdiction provisions contained within the Justice NI Act 2015 will, when enacted, give further flexibility within each of the Divisions for the allocation of business.
4.3 The allocation of future business will however be under the principles set out in the Lord Chief Justice’s Direction.
4.4 The new structures, locations and allocation of business will be as follows:
