Description of the study course
For part-time studies
Title of the study course: Fundamentals of entrepreneurship law.
Title of the study program: Personnel management
Amount: credit points– 2 ECTS – 3 contact lessons– 16
Author and lecturer of the course: Master of juridical sciences Uvis Kozlovskis.
Aim of the course:
To students with a general idea about rights as a social phenomenon according to the professional standard, the origin and development of rights, to acquaint students with juridical standards regulating entrepreneurship in Latvia, give an insight into the current issues in the field of personnel management in specific branches of law, such as criminal law, civil law and administrative law, to develop the skill to apply the acquired theoretical knowledge to practice.
Expected result:
The study course Fundamentals of entrepreneurship law gives a brief introduction to the basic concepts of the theory of law as well as the theoretical conclusions and laws and regulations in the sphere of entrepreneurship by highlighting the peculiarities of the foundation, reorganization and liquidation of an enterprise, different kinds of responsibilities, promoting students’ determination to form a civil society..

Form of assessment of the acquisition of the study course:
During the acquisition of the course students complete one knowledge and skills test work, (practical work, the topic is specified at the beginning of the course). The course is concluded by a written examination in the form of a test.
Expected result, the knowledge, skills and competencies to be acquired:
To improve the communicative skills, to promote the improvement of the value system, to develop the skill to solve juridical issues as well as express and substantiate one’s opinion.
The course is delivered in Latvian.
