Science branch and sub-branch – pedagogy branch, pre-school pedagogy sub-branch. Research themes:

  1. Interaction with the pedagogue as the facilitator of senior pre-school age children development – group- leader a grant research financed by Latvian Science Council (LZP) (2003 – up to now).

  2. Ethno-communicative competency development in multicultural environment (2001 – 2002) (participation in a project by the University of Latvia (LU), financed by LZP, leader Dr.habil.psych. M.Vidnere).

  3. How to help children (5-7-year-olds) to develop their identity (1997 -2000) (group- leader a grant research financed by LZP).

  4. How to help pre-school children (5-6-year-olds) to become a researcher and motivate their activity (1993 -1997) (group- leader a grant research financed by LZP).

  5. Pre-school child’s personality development (1991- 1993) (group- leader a grant research financed by LZP).

Since 1991 scientific research projects are financed by Latvian Science Council. There is established cooperation with Pedagogical higher school named after Skipper Clement in Alborg (Denmark) since 1992.

Significant achievement – in 1997 a dissertation was defended to be entitled of the degree of dr. habil. paed. (LU) and in 1998 and in 2004 at LU conferred a professor for pre-school pedagogical work in Liepāja Pedagogical Higher school (LPA).
