The Description of the Study Course
The title of the study course: Basic Information Technology.
The title of the study program: Personnel management
Amount: 2 CP, 3 ECTS.
The author and the staff of the course: Docent, Dr. math. Grigorijs Gorobecs, lecturer, Mg. sc. soc Gustavs Elers.
The aim of the course:

To acquire or refresh knowledge and skills given by school information technology course, in accordance with the Secondary school education standard for the transition period ”Information I” (adopted by ISEC (Education contents and examination centre) instruction No 86 on 13 October 2003): on basic concepts of information technology, on computer use and literacy on files, on work in Windows environment and appropriate Windows software, on work with information sources, as well as on work on the Internet by the help of search programme Internet Explorer; to acquaint the students with RTTEMA’s work rules in information processing.

Envisaged results:

Students will be prepared to work in Windows environment, to work on RTTEMA information net, as well as use the Internet and email. The knowledge and skills provided by this course are considered as the needed basis for the study course „Information technologies in personnel manager’s work”.
