10. STABILITY AND REACTIVITY
10.1 REACTIVITY
Hot water decomposes the salt into chlorine and oxygen gases.
10.2 CHEMICAL STABILITY
Slowly decomposes on contact with air. Rate increases with the concentration and temperature.
Exposure to sunlight accelerates decomposition. Sodium hypochlorite becomes less toxic with age.
10.3 POSSIBILITY OF HAZARDOUS REACTIONS
Hazardous polymerization will not occur.

Light, heat, incompatibles.
