The Contractor may request the assistance of the Public Body in obtaining copies of laws, regulations and information on local customs, orders or by-laws of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, which may affect the Contractor in the performance of his obligations under the Contract. The Public Body may provide the assistance requested to the Contractor at the Contractor's cost.
Unless otherwise specified in the SCC, the Public Body may make all efforts necessary to facilitate the procurement by the Contractor of:
(qqqqqqq)all required visas and permits, including work and residence permits, and such other documents as shall be necessary to enable the Contractor, Sub-Contractors or Personnel to carry out the Works;
(rrrrrrr)any such other assistance as may be specified in the SCC.
Except where otherwise provided in the SCC, within 30 days of the signing of the Contract, the Engineer shall provide to the Contractor, free of charge, a copy of the drawings prepared for the implementation of tasks as well as two copies of the specifications and other contract documents. The Contractor may purchase additional copies of these drawings, specifications and other documents, insofar as they are available. Upon the final acceptance, the Contractor shall return to the Engineer all drawings, specifications and other contract documents.
Unless it is necessary for the purposes of the Contract, the drawings, specifications and other documents provided by the Public Body shall not be used or communicated to a third party by the Contractor without the prior consent of the Engineer.
The Engineer shall have authority to issue to the Contractor administrative orders incorporating such supplementary documents and instructions as shall be necessary for the proper and adequate execution of the works and the remedying of any defects therein.
