Once the applicant is accepted as an exchange student by the partner university, s/he will be required to purchase overseas travel insurance that fulfills the following requirements at his/her own expense.
The minimum coverage of medical and rescuer’s expenses is 30,000,000 yen.
The insured period is the entire period of the study abroad program. The entire period includes travel dates before and after the program, between Japan and the host nation.
As an insurance plan that satisfies the above requirements, exchange students are required to purchase Futai Kaigaku (付帯海学) unless there is an unavoidable reason not to and TU agrees.
The expense of Overseas Travel Insurance is the student’s responsibility.
