Winter 1959-60, Theodoros A. at Lorain. Reason: Under arrest.

Winter 1959-60, Vilja at Prescott. Reason: Had been aground off Brockville late in the season and was refloated too late to clear the Seaway.

Winter 1959-60, Sweetwater at Detroit. Reason: Repaired by Great Lakes Engineering Works following a grounding late in the season near Bob-Lo Island.

Winter 1962-63, Montrose at Toledo. Reason: Repairs at the shipyard following a sinking and salvage in the Detroit River on July 30, 1962.

Winter 1963-1964, Furman Victory at Toledo. Reason: Conversion to a fleet ballistic missile resupply cargo ship for the USN and renamed Furman.

Winter 1964-65, Orient Merchant, Olau Gorm, Van Fu at Toronto and Flying Independent at Chicago,

Reason: Earlier closure of the Seaway than Expected caused by severe weather conditions.
